CITY CHIC is one of my favourite shops….great fashion for FABULOUS, CURVY girls (and I use the term girls to include women…ladies…babes- what ever you call yourself). In the previous few months CC has had some AMAZING tunics/ dresses in. You’ve got to know which ones I’m referring to…yes?. They have a zip down the front, have come in solid colours and also in prints, with an amazing neckline and puffy pocket like bits. So I need to pose a question… How many is too many for a girl to have??? I have four. A black one, a pink one, a leopard print one and a neon multi coloured one. I have actually had to stop myself from getting any more. They are SUPER COMFY and VERY FLATTERING.
Over the last couple of weekends I’ve had a couple of ‘events and worn one to each.
At the beginning of July,my hubby and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary! We went for dinner in Lygon Street and spent the night in Melbourne. We had a wonderful time and I felt SUPER SEXY in my black tunic/dress, worn with long black boots and accessorized with a fab hot pink and orange necklace from TS clothing and a hot pink clutch from Target.
Last weekend I went to a friend’s BACHELORETTE do at ‘La Di Da’ in Melbourne. It was excellent and I would recommend their bachelorette/ hen packages. I wore my leopard print tunic/ dress, again with my long black boots and a mixture of silver and gold accessories. I felt great and got some lovely comments.
Actually, I have a morning tea this Saturday and may just wear my pink tunic/ dress…watch this space!
What are you’re favourite items of clothing at the moment and why?
Last weekend, my hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary…17 years! Not too shabby. We stayed over in Melbourne Saturday night and had a FAB meal on Lygon Street. It was our first visit to Lygon street since we moved here from the UK nearly 5 years ago and we’ll definitely be going back!
( Look out for my post on what I wore out for dinner on the Saturday night!)
This weeks Aussie Curves challenge, BLUE, is all about what I wore to breakfast on the Sunday morning. Now if someone asked me about my favourite colours I would never think to mention blue…but actually bright blues suit me and I have quite a few bright blue pieces of clothing. I love mixing the blue with black.
The tunic/dress is from Target and the long line cardie is from Autograph. The boots are from Simply Be.
I missed Aussie Curves: Date Night and didn’t want to make it 2 in a row that I missed, so here’s my Aussie Curves: LEATHER contribution – or to be more accurate, my PLEATHER contribution. Before I go any further I do need to own up and let you know you may have seen these pics before, but I do have an excuse…2 actually. Firstly, this week is totally taken up by being a ‘dance mom’, as it’s Eisteddfod time…and secondly, I don’t really have much leather/ pleather in my wardrobe!
During the recent City Chic sale I did however bag myself a fabulous pleather jacket – down from $150 to $75. BONUS!!! I love it and have worn it casually, on a night out and even to work. It’s been so versatile. One of the best bits of the jacket is the ‘frill’ round the bottom which makes it just a little bit different and works well with by derriere.
